  • Our parents, passed from mother to child in vitro
  • Old Homes (paint and lead pipes)

Lead Poisoning Treatment

The most recommended lead poisoning treatment is using a product called DMSA. DMSA stands for Meso-2,3-dimercaptosuccinic acid. This is a product that is approved by the FDA for use in children. The FDA has classed DMSAas safe and useful for the removal of lead in children, Basically a safe lead poisoning treatment method. This product is often mentioned on the popular TV show House. Yes, House is just a TV show, however there are 11 certified Medical Doctors on the writing staff. The medical information on the show is technically accurate. On the show DMSA is sometimes referred to at “succinic acid” or “dimercapto acid”, these are all other words for DMSA.

The exact protocol for lead poisoning treatment using DMSA is well known and understood. Any site that sells DMSA will provide usage instructions. The general protocal for lead poisoning treatment involves taking DMSA for 3 daysthen taking a break for 11 days. The break is needed to allow your body to rest and be ready for the next round of treatment.

What Should I Do From Here?

Lead Poisoning Treatment – 5 Easy Steps

The amount of  DMSA SYNERGY you take is dependant upon your body weight.

If you suspect you are poisoned a good lead poisoning treatment program is outlined below:

  • See if you have any symptoms
  • Take the urine test for toxic heavy metals
  • Find a source for DMSA (search on the internet using google.com)
  • Follow the lead poisoning treatment recommendations
  • Take the urine test again after 6 months to check your lead levels

As you can see lead poisoning treatment is not difficult. It is relatively easy to assess if you are poisoned and where it came from.

Proper lead poisoning treatment requires an understanding of both of these factors. When you start your lead poisoning treatment regimen you need to first remove all environmental sources of lead.  If you don’t, your lead poisoning treatment will be in vain. With continued exposure to this toxin you will never be able to heal properly.

Chelation is very controversial and can be very scary. I told you what hanepepd when I had Griffin tested and that the hospital lab just hanepepd to “forget” to do the mercury test even though they did do the other tests for heavy metals which were fine. I don’t think that it was an accident that they didn’t do the mercury test, I believe that it was intentional. I need to get him tested again and this time make sure that the test is done. I don’t know if I would do oral chelation or not if I did indeed find out that he has an overload of mercury. You are a great mommy and I know that you will do what is best for K.C. the answers will come to you. We love you guys, big hugs to all three of you!
